The intercultural library «Agnesenschütte» in Schaffhausen has developed the «Schaffhauser Tandem» project through contact with an integration class of the BBZ (Vocational Training Centre). The idea is that young people become aware of their own resources – not just the linguistic ones – and exchange information within the framework of tandems, be it language skills, cooking recipes or dance steps.

The library organizes events at which tandem partners can find each other. After a certain time, during which the tandem partners meet independently, a joint final event takes place.
